I know this because a job I was in last year was due to open another restaurant about now but of course can't because of the recession. They bragged about it to everyone and now they're advertising for positions that they don't have, just to make people think they're still doing great business. Recruitment companies are advertising false jobs to fill their books should a position come up and they don't even need money to advertise because sites like Monster and Jobs.ie are giving them free listings.
